God created us so that he could enjoy a real connection with us. When we worship God we recognize our need for that connection and we offer our souls to him in praise, confession, song, and listening and pondering his word to us in the Bible. Worship is not simply an hour a week where we gather to "pacify" a distant God. It is an avenue to connect to the God who hard wired you to be connected with him. This "connection" changes your life and pleases your God - "The Lord is pleased only with those who worship him and trust his love". Psalm 147:11 |
